A phobia is a persistent, irrational fear of a specific object, activity or situation that leads to a compelling desire to avoid it.
Aimaphobia:Fear of blood.
Most teens especially some female ones cant stand the site of blood pouring out in large quantities,if they do so, some might end up fainting and others will be like O.M.G! .
Gerascophobia:Fear of growing old.
Majority of present day teens get shivers down their spines when they are being reminded that one day, they will eventually grow old and die.Its a bitter pill which not all can swallow.
Chiraptophobia:Fear of being touched.
This sounds kind of hilarious but true in the sense that most Nigerian girls especially the so called "BIG GIRLS" are often or most times faced with this sort of challenge. They tend to fidget whenever a slight contact is made on their assumed "DELICATE" skin.,thats nigerian girls for you.
Thanatosaphobia:Fear of death.
Who wants to die?...Ehn! die ke. thats what goes down in the minds of teens.with all the flexing in the world, death is the last thing of their minds.
phobias can be corrected but it all depends on how willing one is ready to overcome it.As for me,i sure do have a phobia for growing old(Gerascophobia).
